COVER GIRL EXCLUSIVE: SALLY MAE — THE NEW FACE OF DLOVE
DLOVE: Sally, you’re one of the freshest faces in fashion right now! You’ve only been modeling for three weeks, and already you’ve walked for DLOVE and won the first round of Miss Daer 2025. How does it feel to have so much happening so fast?
Sally Mae: Honestly, it feels surreal. Everything’s happening so quickly, but I’m loving every second of it.
DLOVE: Tell us about your very first modeling shoot — what was that moment like when you realized, “This is it, I’m a model now”?
Sally Mae: It was honestly magical. I had met a cameraman when I was living in Miami and he wanted to do a shoot and that inspired me to start my modeling career. The lights, the energy, it just clicked. I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.
DLOVE: You recently worked with DLOVE PARIS, one of the most talked-about luxury brands for rising models. What was that experience like?
Sally Mae Incredible. DLOVE made me feel so confident and celebrated. Definitely a pinch-me moment.
DLOVE: Winning the first round of Miss Daer 2025 is such a huge accomplishment! What motivated you to compete, and what did that moment mean to you personally?
Sally Mae: I love challenging myself, and I’ve never done anything like that before, so I’m always up for the challenge. It’s always been a goal of mine, and winning that first round was such an awesome moment.
DLOVE: Every model has that one “signature look” that captures her essence. How would you describe your look and the kind of energy you bring to the camera?
Sally Mae: Confident, playful, and bold. I love bringing good energy and a little sparkle to every shot.
DLOVE: You’re still new to the industry, but you already have a growing fan base online. How do you stay grounded and confident while your career takes off?
Sally Mae: I stay true to who I am, South Dakota roots and all. My family keeps me humble and motivated.
DLOVE: Modeling can be intense—long days, lights, cameras, and constant movement. What’s your pre-shoot ritual or go-to routine before stepping in front of the camera?
Sally Mae: Good music, a quick pep talk in the mirror, and a deep breath. Confidence starts from within.
DLOVE: Who inspires you—in fashion, in life, or in your personal journey as a model?
Sally Mae: My mother. She’s strong, fearless, graceful, and endlessly supportive, my biggest role model.
DLOVE: What are your dreams for the next year? Are there any designers, brands, or magazines you’d love to work with?
Sally Mae: My dreams are big—I want to keep pushing boundaries and keep leveling up. I see myself walking in New York Fashion Week, gracing the pages of Vogue, and working with iconic brands like Louis Vuitton and Burberry. I’ve always believed that if you can dream it and work for it, anything is possible. This is just the beginning for me.
DLOVE: Finally, for all the girls watching your journey and dreaming of stepping into the spotlight—what advice would you give them?
Sally Mae: Go for it. Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment… Create it. Believe in yourself and shine.

COVER GIRL INTERVIEW: RYLEE REID — THE DARK MUSE OF DLOVE PARIS
DLOVE: Rylee, congratulations on your stunning debut with DLOVE PARIS at New York Fashion Week. What was that moment like for you — stepping onto one of the biggest runways in the world?
RYLEE: Thank you so much! The overall experience of being New York for NYFW was so insane to me, it has been a dream of mine ever since I was little to walk in it. So having that dream finally come true and being a part of walking for DLOVE was amazing.
DLOVE: You’ve only just begun your modeling journey, yet you already have a major collaboration — RYLEE X DLOVE. How did that partnership come about, and what inspired the collection?
RYLEE: This partnership started through communicating on Instagram and from there I walked in one of Robert’s shows. After NYFW the idea of a Rylee Reid collection was talked about and we decided to brainstorm fashion pieces that would make people turn heads.
DLOVE: The RYLEE X DLOVE line features stylish jackets, shirts, and mini dresses — all with your signature edge. How would you describe the mood and personality of this collection?
RYLEE: This collection is all about feeling confident in yourself in a sexy, edgy way.
DLOVE: Your personal style has a distinct identity — dark, minimal, and moody. What draws you to black tones and that mysterious, cinematic aesthetic?
RYLEE: I am drawn to an all black outfit 99% of the time, I just love the way it looks. It is very clean, minimal but shows a statement. I have black hair so I really like the way it all ties together.
DLOVE: Many say DLOVE PARIS represents “modern seduction with power.” What does the brand mean to you personally?
RYLEE: DLOVE definitely represent that in my opinion as well. The designs are statement pieces and definitely a head turner when you walk in the room.
DLOVE: What was it like working with the DLOVE creative team — especially Robbie D Love, who’s known for his bold artistic vision?
RYLEE: Working on this collaboration was great, we had the same goals and working on this together really showed that. I noticed we are both creative people so we were able to come up with really beautiful pieces.
DLOVE: Modeling can be intense, especially when your rise happens so quickly. How do you stay grounded and focused while navigating this new world?
RYLEE: Something I take very seriously is self care by doing face masks/eye masks, getting a good night sleeps and prioritizing healthy eating and I try to stay on top of everything by creating check lists and schedules so I don’t lose track of everything I need to do which prevents a burn out.
DLOVE: Every model has that one fashion moment that changes everything. What has been your defining moment so far — the instant you felt, “I’ve arrived.”
RYLEE: My moment was definitely seeing my face on a billboard in Times Square during my first New York Fashion Week. Seeing all the work I was doing behind the scenes to get where I have gotten to, was a “pinch me” moment. I dreamt of that for a long time.
DLOVE: You’ve been described as having a mysterious energy — confident but reserved, bold yet introspective. How do you channel that balance in front of the camera?
RYLEE: When I’m in front of the camera I do this “lock in” face and you can definitely see it in my eyes. Everything I was thinking of or feeling goes out the window and I’m just focusing on getting the mood right.
DLOVE: The RYLEE X DLOVE collection feels like a reflection of your own persona — sleek, fearless, and unapologetic. What message do you want women to feel when they wear your designs?
RYLEE: When they wear these designs I want them to feel like all eyes are on them, feeling the best they could. I want them to feel confident and comfortable in what they are wearing for whatever occasion. Look great & feel great.
DLOVE: Tell us about your creative process — do you get involved in styling, photography, or concept design for your shoots and campaigns?
RYLEE: I love fashion, I can scroll on Pinterest or instagram for hours looking at outfits. I am also constantly looking for ideas for new concepts to shoot. I definitely put my ideas out there whenever I’m working with somebody so we can both/all have our ideas heard and brought to life. Unless it’s a project that is already planned and they ask for me to portray it specifically.
DLOVE: As a new model breaking into the industry, who are some of your biggest fashion icons or inspirations?
RYLEE: My biggest inspiration in the industry is definitely Amelia Gray - Her walk and presence are both so powerful and I find it really inspiring and I aspire to be like her one day ad even walk in a fashion show with her.
DLOVE: How has your personal relationship with fashion evolved since becoming part of the DLOVE universe?
RYLEE: As I’ve been working closely with DLOVE I’ve definitely been having an eye for fashion. Having my own collection is making me brainstorm and come up with designs I don’t think I would’ve before.
DLOVE: What advice would you give to young women who dream of modeling or launching their own brand collaborations one day?
RYLEE: The advice I would give to anyone who has a dream is to never give up. Which I know is what everyone says but I truly mean it, I have a lot of moments where I did not want to keep trying and I felt like I was not cut out for the industry but something in me fuelled me to keep going and overcome all of those thoughts & I want them to know that they can too.
DLOVE: Finally, if you could describe your energy in three words — as a woman, a model, and a muse — what would they be?
RYLEE: If I could describe my energy in three words id say resilient, confident and ambitious.
